Haryana Agriculture Minister says Seva Sankalp Campaign will connect citizens with welfare schemes as he invites residents to September 25 Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya birth anniversary programme in Radaur

Haryana Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister Shyam Singh Rana continued his public outreach campaign across the Radaur Assembly constituency, interacting with residents in Jodiyan, Farakpur, Apna Park, Ravidas Temple, Mandebari, Kheri Rangdan and the Railway Workshop area of Jagadhri.
During the visits, the minister discussed the Union and Haryana governments’ development initiatives, upcoming public service campaigns and local civic issues while listening to grievances raised by residents and directing officials to ensure timely action wherever possible.
Addressing people during the outreach programme, Rana said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had served the nation through nearly 25 years of public leadership, including 13 years as Chief Minister of Gujarat and more than 12 years as Prime Minister of India.
He said that several historic decisions had been taken during this period and described the last two-and-a-half decades as a phase of significant transformation for the country.
The minister said the Bharatiya Janata Party governments at the Centre and in Haryana had implemented a wide range of development projects and public welfare schemes, which, according to him, had contributed to visible changes in infrastructure, governance and social welfare.
He said India had achieved important milestones in several sectors and had strengthened its position among leading nations of the world through sustained development and economic progress. Rana said the government’s objective was to promote an Atmanirbhar Bharat by ensuring that development reached every section of society.
He stated that numerous welfare policies had been introduced to support farmers, workers, youth, women and economically weaker sections, and appealed to citizens to remain informed about government schemes so that eligible families could benefit from them.
Speaking about the forthcoming Seva Sankalp Campaign, Rana announced that the campaign would be organised across Haryana and the country from September 17 to October 17, 2026.
He said ministers and legislators would visit their respective constituencies during the campaign to interact directly with citizens and explain the developmental changes that had taken place in the state and the country over the years.
According to the minister, the campaign would serve as an important platform for strengthening communication between the government and the public.
He said people would be informed about welfare programmes, citizen services and various departmental initiatives so that greater awareness could help eligible beneficiaries access government support without unnecessary difficulty.
During his interaction with residents, Rana referred to development works carried out in the Radaur Assembly constituency, particularly in areas falling under the Municipal Corporation and surrounding villages.
He said projects related to sewerage systems, drainage, internal streets and drinking water facilities had been undertaken with the objective of improving basic civic infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
He stated that his priority remained the completion of maximum possible development works across the constituency so that citizens could directly benefit from improved public facilities.
Rana said the Haryana government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, was working with the guiding principle of inclusive development and equal opportunities for every section of society.
The minister said the state government had introduced multidimensional policies aimed at the welfare and upliftment of different communities while ensuring balanced development across urban and rural areas.
He maintained that the government’s intention was to extend the benefits of welfare programmes to the person standing at the last mile of society, reflecting the principle of inclusive governance.
Explaining the broader purpose of the public outreach initiative, Rana said Jan Seva programmes were helping government departments communicate directly with citizens about available services and welfare schemes.
He urged residents to seek accurate information regarding government initiatives and complete the necessary formalities to avail themselves of benefits wherever they were eligible.
He said good governance was not limited to administrative functioning alone but also meant designing people-centric welfare policies and ensuring that their benefits reached ordinary citizens efficiently and transparently.
According to Rana, transparency, responsive administration and public service remained central to the government’s approach towards governance.
During the meetings, the minister also spoke about the ideological legacy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, who is widely associated with the philosophy of Integral Humanism.
Rana said the BJP continued to draw inspiration from Upadhyaya’s vision that the benefits of governance and development should reach the weakest and most disadvantaged sections of society. He announced that the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya would be observed on September 25, 2026, at the Radaur Grain Market through a morning walk programme and public gathering. Rana extended an invitation to BJP leaders, party workers, sarpanches, village representatives and residents to participate with their families and pay tribute to the leader on the occasion.
The minister said such commemorative events also provided an opportunity to reflect on the values of public service, social responsibility and inclusive development. He encouraged party workers and local residents to participate actively in the programme and contribute towards strengthening community engagement.
A significant part of the outreach programme focused on hearing the concerns of local residents. Rana said that whenever his schedule allowed, he preferred visiting villages and meeting people directly because listening to public grievances was an important responsibility of an elected representative.
Residents from different locations shared issues concerning civic amenities, local infrastructure and other developmental requirements during the interactions.
The minister listened to their concerns and directed concerned officials to examine the matters and work towards resolving genuine issues at the earliest in accordance with departmental procedures. He assured residents that development and public service would continue to remain a priority for the Radaur constituency and said sustained communication with citizens was essential for identifying local needs and improving governance at the grassroots level.
The outreach campaign witnessed the participation of local BJP representatives, municipal representatives and community members. Rana interacted with people in an informal atmosphere and reiterated that public confidence and continuous engagement formed the foundation of effective democratic governance. Among those present during the programme were Farakpur BJP Mandal President Sandhya Rawat, Shashi Dureja, municipal councillors, BJP leaders, party workers and a large number of prominent citizens from the constituency. The minister concluded his interactions by appealing to residents to remain connected with government welfare initiatives, participate in upcoming public service programmes and continue contributing towards the development of their villages and towns through constructive cooperation with local administration and elected representatives.
