Students of DAV Police Public School, Jagadhri, brought laurels to the institution by delivering impressive performances in inter-school competitions and winning several prizes in English news reading and Hindi poetry recitation events.

Class VIII student Aradhana and Class X student Ayush Dahiya won the first prize in the inter-school English news reading competition. Ayush Dahiya also earned recognition as the Best Performer, further adding to the school’s achievements. Class XII student Sakshi received a consolation prize in the competition.

Continuing the school’s winning performance, Gurnaksh, a Class V student, secured the first prize in the Hindi poetry recitation competition.

The students prepared for the competitions under the guidance of teachers Shweta Gupta, Sushma Sharma, Jennifer Naz Qureshi, Kirti Sharma and Madhurima. Their dedicated mentoring and the students’ hard work contributed to the successful performances and achievements.

School Principal Anup Kumar Chopra congratulated all the participating and winning students. He said that participation in such competitions helps students recognise their abilities as well as identify areas where they can improve.

He added that victories and recognition received through competitions play an important role in boosting students’ confidence and encouraging them to perform better in future endeavours. Such platforms, he said, provide valuable opportunities for students to showcase their talent and develop confidence, communication skills and a competitive spirit.

The school congratulated all the award-winning students and appreciated the efforts of the teachers who guided them throughout their preparation.
