In accordance with the directions of the Election Commission of India, Electoral Registration Officer for the 10-Radaur Assembly Constituency and SDM Narendra Kumar distributed forms related to claims and objections received under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of electoral rolls up to August 13, 2026.
The forms, including Form No. 9, 10, 11, 11A and 11B, were handed over to presidents and representatives of political parties, Booth Level Agents (BLA-1) and other concerned representatives as part of the revision process aimed at ensuring transparency and accuracy in the preparation of electoral rolls.
The Special Intensive Revision 2026 is being carried out under the guidelines of the Election Commission of India to make electoral rolls more accurate, comprehensive and free from errors. The exercise is intended to ensure that all eligible citizens are included in the voter lists while necessary corrections, claims and objections are processed in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
SDM Narendra Kumar said that the Election Commission is conducting the special revision programme with the objective of encouraging maximum participation from eligible citizens and ensuring that the electoral rolls correctly reflect the eligible voting population of the constituency.
He said that the process is particularly important for citizens whose names may not have been included in the electoral rolls, as well as for voters seeking corrections or raising objections related to entries in the draft lists.
According to the Electoral Registration Officer, the preliminary publication of the electoral rolls was completed on July 31, 2026, in accordance with the schedule issued by the Election Commission of India. The draft electoral rolls have also been made available to political parties as part of the established process.
The distribution of Forms 9, 10, 11, 11A and 11B to representatives of political parties and Booth Level Agents is intended to ensure that stakeholders remain informed about the claims and objections received during the revision process.
The exercise provides an opportunity for political parties and their authorised representatives to examine the relevant information and participate in the electoral roll revision process through the mechanisms provided under election rules and guidelines.
SDM Narendra Kumar stressed that the accuracy of electoral rolls is essential for strengthening the democratic process. A correct and updated voter list helps ensure that every eligible citizen has the opportunity to exercise the right to vote.
He appealed to political representatives, Booth Level Agents and members of the public to actively cooperate with election officials during the Special Intensive Revision 2026. Their participation, he said, can help identify omissions and inaccuracies and contribute to the preparation of more reliable electoral rolls.
As part of the ongoing revision programme, all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will organise special camps at their respective polling booths on August 22, 23, 29 and 30, 2026.
These camps are expected to provide an opportunity for voters and eligible residents to connect directly with booth-level election officials regarding matters related to the electoral rolls.
Citizens will be able to use the revision process to ensure that their voter details are properly reflected in the electoral rolls, subject to the applicable procedures and eligibility requirements. The camps will also support the broader objective of encouraging public participation in the revision exercise.
The SDM requested BLA-1 representatives and other उपस्थित representatives to extend their full cooperation in making the booth-level camp programme successful. He said that awareness and participation at the local level are important for ensuring that eligible voters are not left out of the electoral registration process.
The Special Intensive Revision programme places significant responsibility on Booth Level Officers, who will be available at their designated booths during the scheduled camp dates. Their role will include facilitating the revision-related process and assisting citizens and stakeholders in accordance with the directions and procedures issued by the Election Commission.
Political parties and their authorised Booth Level Agents also play an important role in the revision process by helping bring relevant claims, objections and discrepancies to the notice of election authorities through the prescribed channels.
The distribution of claim and objection-related forms represents another step in the ongoing revision of the electoral rolls for the Radaur Assembly Constituency. Election officials are seeking coordinated participation from political parties, booth-level representatives and eligible citizens to ensure that the final electoral rolls are prepared with maximum accuracy.
