CTM Piyush Gupta announces Janata Darbar and Night Stay Programme at Jagdhauli on August 18.
DC Preeti to hear public grievances at Sheetla Mata Temple Ground; senior district officials to interact directly with villagers

City Magistrate (CTM) Piyush Gupta said that, in accordance with the directions of the Haryana Government and Deputy Commissioner Preeti, the district administration will organise a Janata Darbar and Night Stay Programme in village Jagdhauli of Saraswati Nagar block under Jagadhri subdivision on August 18, 2026.
Giving details of the programme, CTM Piyush Gupta said that the Janata Darbar will be held at 2 p.m. at the Sheetla Mata Temple Ground in Jagdhauli, while the night-stay programme, including a special hearing and redressal of public grievances, will be held at 4:30 p.m. under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Preeti.
He said the initiative has been taken as part of the district administration’s continuing efforts to take governance and grievance redressal closer to the people. Under the programme, senior administrative officers will directly interact with villagers and listen to their public as well as individual problems.
CTM Piyush Gupta said the district administration is implementing the directions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini effectively. Along with the regular Samadhan Shivirs, Janata Darbars and Night Stay Programmes are also being organised in villages to provide residents with a direct platform to present their grievances before the administration.
He said the objective of the programme is to listen to the problems of residents at their doorstep and facilitate their resolution through the concerned departments. Public issues as well as individual grievances will be taken up during the programme, and officials will be expected to take appropriate action according to the nature of each complaint.
The CTM said that the presence of senior officers during the night-stay programme would also help the administration understand local issues directly from residents. Such direct interaction would enable officials to assess ground-level requirements and take necessary steps for addressing issues concerning development, public services and other administrative matters.
He further informed that heads of all concerned departments will remain present during the Night Stay Programme. Their presence will ensure that grievances falling within the jurisdiction of different departments can be taken up directly and appropriate action can be initiated without unnecessary delay.
CTM Piyush Gupta directed all officers concerned to ensure their presence at the programme at the specified date, time and venue. He said that all officers must strictly comply with the instructions issued by the district administration and ensure their participation in the programme.
He specifically directed that, during the programme, no officer or employee junior to the concerned official should be sent in their place without prior permission. He stressed that the directions issued by the Deputy Commissioner must be followed strictly and in letter and spirit.
The programme is part of the district administration’s effort to strengthen direct communication with rural residents and improve the system of public grievance redressal. By organising the Janata Darbar and Night Stay Programme at the village level, the administration aims to provide residents with easier access to senior officials and government departments.
The initiative will also give villagers an opportunity to place their concerns directly before the senior administrative machinery rather than having to repeatedly visit government offices. Officials from different departments will be available to understand the problems raised by residents and take necessary action according to established procedures.
CTM Piyush Gupta said that effective coordination among different departments would be important for making the programme successful. He called upon all concerned officials to remain prepared and ensure that the grievances raised by residents receive due attention.
The August 18 programme at Jagdhauli is therefore expected to provide residents of the village and surrounding areas an important opportunity for direct interaction with the district administration. The administration has made arrangements for the participation of senior officials from various departments so that public concerns can be heard and taken forward in a coordinated manner.
The CTM reiterated that strict compliance with the programme schedule and instructions issued by the Deputy Commissioner is mandatory for all concerned officers. The district administration’s continued focus on Janata Darbars, Samadhan Shivirs and Night Stay Programmes reflects its emphasis on direct public interaction, timely grievance redressal and doorstep governance.
