DC Priti asks officers to ensure prompt resolution through Samadhan Shivirs; stresses accountability and inter-departmental coordination

Deputy Commissioner Priti chaired a high-level review meeting at the District Secretariat to assess the status of complaints received through the CM Window and Samadhan Shivirs, directing senior district officials to ensure their speedy and time-bound disposal. She said the primary objective of the grievance redressal camps is to provide immediate relief to citizens and instructed all departments to address public complaints with sensitivity, transparency and responsibility.

Reviewing pending cases, the Deputy Commissioner said timely action at the departmental level prevents complaints from remaining unresolved. She directed officers to attend review meetings fully prepared with updated information regarding pending matters so that informed decisions could be taken without delay.

Priti stressed that every complaint received through Samadhan Shivirs must be resolved within the stipulated time frame. Cases requiring detailed verification should be accorded priority and processed expeditiously in coordination with the concerned departments. She also instructed officials to conduct regular reviews of long-pending complaints and ensure that no eligible citizen is denied government services due to administrative delays.

She said Samadhan Shivirs have emerged as an effective platform for strengthening communication between the administration and the public, adding that citizen satisfaction remains the administration’s foremost priority. Departments were also instructed to coordinate with one another wherever multiple agencies are involved in resolving a complaint.

The meeting also reviewed grievances received through the CM Window, with the Deputy Commissioner directing officials to dispose of all pending cases promptly and ensure greater administrative accountability.

Senior officials, including Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Ahuja, ASP Ashish Chaudhary, SDMs Vishwanath, Narendra Kumar and Jaspal Singh Gill, City Magistrate Piyush Gupta, Civil Surgeon Dr Divya Mangla, DDPO Narendra Singh, Deputy Director Agriculture Dr Aditya Pratap Dabas, DIPRO Dr Manoj Kumar, and officers from various departments attended the meeting.

Yamunanagar Strengthens Security, Medical Support for Kanwar Yatra

Deputy Commissioner Priti and Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal jointly chaired a coordination meeting to review security, surveillance and public safety arrangements for the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, directing officials to ensure seamless movement of pilgrims through Yamunanagar district.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed departments to strengthen CCTV surveillance on major routes and sensitive locations while ensuring effective monitoring of vehicular movement and other critical activities. She also directed officials to improve coordination for road repairs, street lighting and other civic facilities along the pilgrimage routes.

Highlighting the large number of Kanwariyas entering Haryana from Uttar Pradesh, Priti said most pilgrims pass through Kalanaur and proceed towards Kurukshetra via the SK Road near Aurangabad. She instructed the Health Department to deploy a dedicated ambulance equipped with essential medicines and emergency medical facilities throughout the duration of the pilgrimage.

Expressing concern over the heavy traffic on the Yamunanagar-Kurukshetra highway, the Deputy Commissioner asked the PWD to immediately repair potholes and damaged stretches of road, while the Power Department was directed to ensure adequate lighting wherever required to facilitate safe movement during night hours.

She emphasised that all departments must discharge their responsibilities with seriousness and coordination to ensure a safe, smooth and incident-free Kanwar Yatra.

Officials from the Health Department, PWD, Electricity Department and other agencies participated in the meeting.

Yamunanagar Gears Up for Grand Independence Day Celebrations

Deputy Commissioner Priti reviewed preparations for the 79th Independence Day celebrations scheduled to be held at Tejli Sports Complex on August 15, directing all departments to complete arrangements well in advance and ensure a flawless, dignified celebration.

Keeping the ongoing monsoon season in view, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to make parallel arrangements at the local Grain Market so that the ceremony could be shifted there if weather conditions require.

Calling Independence Day a festival of national pride, she urged every department to begin preparations immediately instead of waiting until the last moment. She directed officials to ensure adequate arrangements for sanitation, drinking water, electricity, seating, security, traffic management, parking, medical facilities and other essential services.

Departments were also instructed to complete all preparations related to the flag-hoisting ceremony, parade, cultural performances and reception of guests well before the event. Priti emphasised close coordination among departments so that all responsibilities are completed within the stipulated timeframe.

She further directed the PWD and other concerned departments to ensure proper cleanliness, sanitation and accommodation facilities at government rest houses. Stressing maximum public participation, she said a larger audience not only strengthens the spirit of the national celebration but also boosts the confidence of participating schoolchildren.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Ahuja, senior civil and police officers, District Sports Officer Shilpa Gupta, District Education Officer Premlata, DIPRO Dr Manoj Kumar and officials from various departments.
