With preparations underway for Independence Day 2026, SDM Dr Kuldeep Singh visited Anaj Mandi, Vyaspur, and reviewed rehearsals being conducted by students of various schools for the main celebration.

The SDM directed officials of all concerned departments to discharge their assigned responsibilities with utmost dedication and ensure that no shortcoming remains in arrangements for the national festival.

He said the main Independence Day Celebration will be organised at Anaj Mandi, Vyaspur. The programme will feature cultural performances and a march-past by contingents of Haryana Police, Haryana Home Guards, NCC, Scouts and Guides.

Dr Kuldeep Singh said the full-dress rehearsal will be held on August 13, with the participation of all concerned departments and performers.

Emphasising the importance of Independence Day, the SDM said it is not merely an administrative programme but a national festival belonging to every citizen. He called for maximum public participation so that the celebrations reflect enthusiasm, discipline and patriotism.

He also said the occasion provides an opportunity to pay tribute to the supreme sacrifices of freedom fighters and inspire the younger generation with the spirit of patriotism.

Officials were directed to complete arrangements related to the stage, seating, drinking water, sanitation, electricity, security, traffic management, medical facilities, cultural programmes, parade and decoration well in advance.

Naib Tehsildar Ravinder Kumar, SHO Vinod, BDPO Vyaspur Shabnam Tehlan, BDPO Sadhoura Neha Sharma, Market Committee Vyaspur chairman Vipin Singla and other officials and representatives were present.

One complaint related to a government department was received during the Samadhan Camp held at the SDM Office, Vyaspur, on Monday.

SDM Dr Kuldeep Singh heard the grievance and directed the concerned officials to ensure its resolution on priority. The complaint was forwarded to the concerned department for necessary action.

The SDM said the Samadhan Camps are being organised under government directions to provide citizens with a convenient platform for the speedy and effective resolution of their problems.

He said residents can raise issues related to Parivar Pehchan Patra, ration cards, social security pensions, police matters, Panchayati Raj institutions and other departments at the camps.

Dr Kuldeep Singh said complaints that can be resolved immediately should be disposed of at the earliest, while cases requiring departmental inquiry or completion of a formal procedure must be processed within the prescribed timeframe.

He directed officials and employees to avoid unnecessary delays and ensure timely relief to citizens.
