Additional personnel deployed at major temples, Kanwar routes and sensitive locations; traffic and crowd management to remain a priority

With the Jalabhishek scheduled for August 11, Yamunanagar Police has strengthened security arrangements across the district to ensure a peaceful and orderly conclusion to the Kanwar pilgrimage.
According to the police, adequate personnel have been deployed at major temples, along Kanwar routes and at other sensitive locations. The arrangements have been put in place under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal, keeping in view the expected increase in the number of devotees at temples on the occasion of Jalabhishek.
Police personnel deployed around temple premises have been given specific instructions to ensure effective crowd management and facilitate the smooth movement of devotees. Additional surveillance has also been introduced along routes witnessing heavy movement of Kanwariyas.
Traffic management under focus:
The police said maintaining smooth traffic flow during the pilgrimage remains a key priority. Traffic personnel have been deployed at strategic locations to manage the movement of Kanwariyas as well as regular traffic and minimise inconvenience to commuters.
Police teams are also keeping a close watch on suspicious activities along the pilgrimage routes and around major religious places. Necessary arrangements have been made to respond promptly to any emergency situation.
SP Kamaldeep Goyal said the safety of Kanwariyas and devotees would remain the top priority of the district police. He directed personnel to remain fully alert throughout the pilgrimage and ensure that devotees receive all necessary assistance.
The police have also appealed to Kanwariyas and other devotees to cooperate with the administration, follow prescribed rules and maintain discipline during the pilgrimage.
Officials said the strengthened security and traffic arrangements are aimed at ensuring that the August 11 Jalabhishek passes peacefully, safely and smoothly, while maintaining normal public movement across the district.
