Gandhinagar Police arrest suspect in AC copper pipe theft case after alleged theft from house under construction in Yamunanagar

Gandhinagar Police have arrested a man accused of stealing copper pipes used for air-conditioner fittings from a house under construction in Sanjay Vihar Colony, Yamunanagar. Police said the stolen copper pipes were recovered from the accused, who was later produced before a court and sent to judicial custody.
House owner reports alleged theft from construction site
According to police spokesperson, the action was taken under the directions of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goel as part of the district police effort to check crime and take action against offenders.
Police said Shubham, a resident of Kharawan village, told investigators that he was constructing a house in Sanjay Vihar Colony. Copper pipes for air-conditioner fittings had already been installed at the property. On September 15, he allegedly noticed a young man leaving the house carrying a bag. A check of the bag led to the alleged discovery that AC copper pipes had been removed from the premises.

Police team led by ASI Sunil Kumar conducts investigation
After the complaint was registered, a police team was formed under the leadership of ASI Sunil Kumar to trace and arrest the accused. During the investigation, the team arrested Manish alias Rahish, son of Ghafoor, a resident of Chandakhedi village.
Police said the copper pipes allegedly stolen from the house were recovered following the arrest. The accused was subsequently produced before the court, which sent him to judicial custody.
Police continue action against property-related offences
The case forms part of the district police’s ongoing efforts to investigate theft complaints and recover property allegedly taken from residential and construction sites. Police have urged residents and property owners to remain alert and report suspicious activity promptly.
