Residents of Green Park celebrate the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas and pay tribute to the nation's brave soldiers in Yamunanagar.
Patriotic songs, tributes and a collective rendition of the National Anthem mark the commemorative event

The 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated with patriotic fervour at Green Park, Yamunanagar, where members of the Green Park Colony Welfare Association, local residents and social activists came together to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil War.
As part of the celebrations, freedom fighters Om Prakash Bhatia, Naresh Kumar Mehta and Naresh Nagpal were felicitated in recognition of their contribution to the nation. The event featured patriotic songs and poetry performances that created an atmosphere of pride and national unity.
Addressing the gathering, Association President Davinder Mehta recalled the courage and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces during the Kargil conflict and urged young people to draw inspiration from the dedication of the nation’s soldiers. He said the association also celebrates Republic Day and Independence Day every year to educate the younger generation about India’s freedom struggle and the importance of national festivals.
The cultural programme was highlighted by soulful patriotic performances from renowned devotional singer Monty Raja, Poonam Bhalla, President of the Shree Ji Mahila Sankirtan Mandali, Sangeeta Gulati, and several other participants, who captivated the audience with their renditions.
The event concluded with all participants holding the National Flag, singing the National Anthem, and raising spirited slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” in honour of the country’s brave martyrs.
The organisers thanked all residents and participants for making the celebration a grand success and reaffirmed their commitment to preserving patriotic values among future generations.
