The annual Jagannath Rath Yatra in Yamunanagar turned into a vibrant celebration of faith and community service as Udyog Vyapar Mandal Haryana (Yamunanagar Unit) organised a large-scale Mahaprasad Seva for devotees participating in the procession led by ISKCON.

Set up on Old Radaur Road at the premises of industrialist and social worker Mahendra Mittal, the service camp welcomed a continuous stream of devotees, traders and local residents who gathered to pay homage to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra before receiving the sacred Mahaprasad.

The event reflected the festival’s core message of devotion, equality and selfless service, with volunteers serving food and refreshments to visitors throughout the day. The atmosphere resonated with devotional chants as participants joined the Rath Yatra and offered prayers for peace, prosperity, successful businesses and the well-being of society.

Prominent political leaders, public representatives and members of the business community visited the Mahaprasad camp and appreciated the initiative. Those present included Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Das, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board Chairman Rakesh Tyagi, Nepal Rana, Ram Niwas Garg, former Mayor Madan Chauhan, Rosy Malik, Nitin Kapoor, Councillor Manu Singla, Ruchi Sharma, Vikram Rana, Rahul and several other distinguished guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahendra Mittal said that community-driven religious events not only preserve India’s rich cultural traditions but also strengthen the values of compassion, brotherhood and social responsibility. He noted that the Jagannath Rath Yatra continues to inspire people to serve humanity while remaining rooted in faith.

Joining him, Sanjay Mittal expressed gratitude to devotees, volunteers and supporters for making the event a success. He reaffirmed that Udyog Vyapar Mandal Haryana would continue organising initiatives dedicated to community welfare, religious harmony and public service.
