Two Stolen Motorcycles Recovered, Shrewd Bike Thief Arrested by Anti-Vehicle Theft Cell
Acting under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goel, the Anti-Vehicle Theft Cell of Yamunanagar Police has arrested an alleged motorcycle thief and recovered two stolen motorcycles from his possession, police said. The accused was produced before the court and subsequently sent to judicial custody.
According to the police spokesperson, the action followed a specific tip-off received by the Anti-Vehicle Theft Cell that a young man carrying a stolen motorcycle was likely to cross the Kalaanur border and head towards Uttar Pradesh. Acting on the information, the police team intensified checking and established a blockade at a strategic location along the suspected route.
Suspicious documents led to detailed questioning
The special team was constituted under the leadership of ASI Husain and included Head Constables Labh Singh, Roop, Naresh and Vedpal. During the checking operation, a युवक approaching on a motorcycle was stopped by the police team. On examining the motorcycle and its documents, the police found discrepancies that raised suspicion.
Police said detailed questioning subsequently revealed that the motorcycle had allegedly been stolen. During interrogation, the accused allegedly disclosed that he had stolen the motorcycle from Mukherji Park in Jagadhri on September 15.
The accused was identified as Firoz alias Fauji, son of Dilshad, a resident of village Sassouli. Police said further questioning led to the recovery of another motorcycle allegedly stolen by the accused.
Second motorcycle allegedly stolen from Fuwara Chowk
According to Anti-Vehicle Theft Cell in-charge Rajesh Kumar, the accused allegedly disclosed during interrogation that the second motorcycle had been stolen from Fuwara Chowk on October 3. The recovery of both motorcycles is being treated by the police as an important development in the investigation of vehicle theft cases.
Police officials said the accused had allegedly been involved in another theft case earlier as well. The previous case is currently under consideration before the court, according to the police.
Police continue campaign against vehicle theft
Rajesh Kumar said the recovery had helped the police make progress in tracing vehicle theft incidents and identifying the alleged involvement of the accused. The investigation is continuing to establish whether the accused has any connection with other vehicle theft cases.
The police spokesperson said the accused was produced before the court after his arrest and was sent to judicial custody. The district police, the spokesperson added, are continuing a special drive to prevent vehicle theft and take strict action against those found involved in such offences.
Police have also appealed to residents to remain alert about the security of their vehicles and to immediately inform the authorities about any suspicious activity. Officials said cooperation from the public can help police respond quickly to vehicle theft and other criminal activities.
Proclaimed Offender Arrested by PO Staff After Evading Court Proceedings
Yamunanagar Police have arrested another accused declared a proclaimed offender by the court as part of a special campaign against absconders and bail jumpers, the police spokesperson said. The accused was produced before the court and sent to judicial custody for further legal proceedings.
The action was carried out under the directions of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goel. According to police, the Proclaimed Offender Staff constituted a special team under the leadership of Inspector Jagbir Singh to trace and arrest accused persons who have been evading legal proceedings.
Special team tracks accused after secret information
The special team included ASI Ashwini and Head Constables Sandeep, Mahavir, Rajat and Bharti. Acting on specific information, the team traced and arrested Naresh Kumar, son of Iqbal Chand, a resident of Azad Nagar.
Police said the accused was involved in a criminal case and had been declared a proclaimed offender by the court after failing to appear during the judicial proceedings. He had allegedly been evading arrest and had remained away from the reach of the police.
The police team continued efforts to locate him and eventually succeeded in apprehending him on the basis of the information received. Following his arrest, the accused was taken through the required legal procedure and produced before the court.
The police spokesperson said the district police would continue the special campaign against proclaimed offenders, absconders and bail jumpers. The Superintendent of Police praised the efforts of the PO Staff team and said strict action against persons evading the judicial process would continue to strengthen law and order in the district.
