Jagadhri District Bar Association office bearers take oath as new executive team assumes charge for 2026-27

The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of the District Bar Association, Jagadhri, Yamunanagar, was held at the Bar Room in a dignified and cordial atmosphere. The association had conducted its annual election on September 11, 2026, for the 2026-27 term, with advocates electing Dinesh Chauhan as president, Dharamvir Rathi as vice-president, Garima Singh Khurana as women vice-president, Pankaj Sharma as general secretary, Seema Kamboj as joint secretary and Sumit Mani as treasurer.
Judicial and administrative officials attend ceremony
District and Sessions Judge, Yamunanagar, Dr Daya Nand Bhardwaj, other judicial officers, Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goel, Jagadhri Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rajbir Singh, the president of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and the chairman of the Permanent Lok Adalat were among the dignitaries present.
The newly elected office bearers of the Bar Association, Vyasapur, also attended the programme. President-elect Dinesh Chauhan welcomed the Vyasapur team and other dignitaries with bouquets and expressed appreciation for their presence.

Outgoing president hands over charge
During the ceremony, outgoing president Vikrant Singh Chauhan formally handed over the charge of the District Bar Association, Jagadhri, to newly elected president Dinesh Chauhan. The newly elected members then took oath and formally assumed their respective responsibilities.
The association also honoured the outgoing executive committees for the 2023-25 and 2025-26 terms, Returning Officer Gurmel Singh Manipur and Assistant Returning Officer Vikram Pratap, along with the team that assisted in conducting the election process. Dinesh Chauhan thanked all those involved for ensuring that the election was completed peacefully and successfully.
Judge stresses constructive bar-bench coordination
District and Sessions Judge Dr Daya Nand Bhardwaj congratulated the newly elected executive and expressed the expectation that the Bar and Bench would continue to work with better coordination, cooperation and a spirit of mutual respect.
In his welcome address, newly elected president Dinesh Chauhan thanked the judicial officers, police administration, the Vyasapur Bar Association team and members of the Jagadhri Bar for attending the ceremony. He welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in the new executive.

Bar members join post-ceremony community lunch
Following the oath-taking programme, the newly elected executive organised a lunch for Bar members at New Grain Market, Jagadhri. Advocates participated in the gathering, which marked the beginning of the new executive’s tenure.
The ceremony was conducted by newly elected general secretary Pankaj Sharma. A large number of advocates attended, including Ram Kumar Radauri, Yashpal Singh Rajheri, Pradeep Kumar, Naresh Khurana, Naresh Poswal, Digvijay Singh Khurana, Rameshwar Singh, Ramnik Sharma, Subhash Badshami, Kewal Krishna Saini, Sunil Saro, Bhupinder Singh Chauhan, Raj Pal Kaushik, Pawan Punia, Arun Dada, Manoj Chauhan, Mehak Rana, Mohit Chhibber, Rajan Chauhan, Sanchit Gurjar, Parikshit Chhokar, Avinash Kaushik, Sandeep Sharma, Shiv Pratap and Nitin Arora.
