DDPO Narendra Singh directs officials to ensure prompt disposal of complaints as grievance camps are now held twice a week

District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO) Narendra Singh on Thursday directed officials to ensure the timely disposal of grievances received during the district’s Samadhan Camps, emphasising that complaints requiring field verification or documentation should also be resolved within the prescribed timeframe.Chairing the grievance redressal camp at the District Secretariat, Narendra Singh said the Haryana Government has revised the schedule of the initiative to improve public service delivery. The camps are now being organised every Monday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon at both district and sub-divisional levels.Four complaints were received during Thursday’s camp. These included a request for the release of pending old-age pension arrears, a complaint regarding stagnant wastewater on a public road, a request for the removal of encroachments and a grievance related to drinking water supply. Officials from the concerned departments were instructed to process the complaints on priority and ensure time-bound action. The camp was attended by DC Office Superintendent Atul Kumar, special members of the Samadhan Camp Neeraj Gupta, Jagdish Babbar and Khairati Lal Batra, along with officers from various departments.

Applications invited under SMAM Scheme; online draw for Yamunanagar beneficiaries scheduled on July 17

The Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department will select eligible farmers through an online draw of lots for subsidies on rotavators and laser land levellers under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation (SMAM) Scheme 2026–27. Deputy Commissioner Preeti said the draw for Yamunanagar district will be conducted on July 17 at 11 am in Room No. 203 of the Mini Secretariat, Jagadhri. According to Deputy Agriculture Director Aditya Pratap, nearly 1,920 farmers from the district had submitted applications for 3,238 agricultural implements under the scheme. Assistant Agricultural Engineer Vinit Kumar Jain said all eligible Scheduled Caste applicants and farmers who had opted for machinery other than rotavators and laser land levellers as their first preference have already been selected, subject to verification of eligibility. The remaining 1,814 applicants seeking subsidies for rotavators and laser land levellers will be considered through the online lottery system. The district has been allotted 578 rotavators and 175 laser land levellers, while an additional waiting list equal to 25 per cent of the allotted target will also be prepared. Eligible farmers will be required to complete document verification before purchasing the approved machinery through empanelled manufacturers or dealers within the stipulated timeline.

SDM Reviews Civic Facilities at Vyaspur Grain Market, Calls for Time-Bound Improvements

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dr Kuldeep Singh inspected the Vyaspur Grain Market on Thursday and directed officials to improve essential civic infrastructure ahead of the monsoon, with special emphasis on sanitation, drainage and drinking water facilities. During the inspection, the SDM reviewed the sewerage network, cleanliness arrangements and water supply infrastructure, instructing the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted services and prevent waterlogging during the rainy season. He said providing better facilities for farmers, commission agents and visitors to the grain market remains a priority and directed officials to resolve civic issues without delay. Later, a Samadhan Camp was organised at the SDM Office under the supervision of BDPO Neha Sharma, where three public grievances were received. Two complaints were resolved on the spot, while one was forwarded to the concerned department for further action. Officials informed citizens that complaints relating to Family ID, ration cards, social security pensions, police matters and Panchayati Raj institutions can be submitted during the camps for prompt redressal.The inspection and grievance camp were attended by representatives of the Market Committee and officials from various government departments.
