Students interact with the officer on education, career goals and drug prevention during visits to government schools

Vyasapur Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dr Kuldeep Singh conducted surprise inspections of Government Model Sanskrit Senior Secondary School and Government Senior Secondary School in Vyasapur, reviewing academic and administrative arrangements and interacting directly with students during classroom visits.
During his inspection of Government Senior Secondary School, Vyasapur, Dr Singh closely assessed the school’s administrative and academic functioning. He also reviewed the overall management of the institution, cleanliness of the campus and the disciplined environment maintained on the premises. Appreciating the arrangements, he said a well-managed and orderly school environment plays an important role in creating favourable conditions for learning.
The SDM subsequently visited classrooms in the Arts and Science streams and engaged directly with students in teaching and academic discussions. Rather than limiting the inspection to administrative arrangements, he interacted with students on academic subjects and explained various concepts while encouraging them to think beyond routine textbook learning.
Dr Singh asked students a series of knowledge-based and analytical questions related to their subjects. The students responded with confidence and demonstrated logical understanding while participating in the classroom interaction. The exchange provided the officer with an opportunity to assess students’ engagement with their studies and their ability to apply knowledge through reasoning.
The SDM also interacted with students about their future plans and career aspirations. During the discussion, students enthusiastically shared their ambitions and said they wanted to pursue careers in the civil services, including the Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service, as well as the medical profession.
The students expressed their desire to serve society with dedication through their chosen professions and contribute positively to nation-building. Dr Singh appreciated their aspirations and encouraged them to remain focused on their academic goals.
While motivating the students, the SDM said education was the most powerful means through which a person could achieve success through dedication and hard work. He urged students to make continuous learning, concentration on their goals and a disciplined daily routine an integral part of their lives.
Dr Singh told the students that academic success was not achieved merely through occasional efforts but required consistency and determination. Regular study, clarity of purpose and disciplined habits, he said, could help students move steadily towards their ambitions.
He also used the interaction to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. With the objective of encouraging the younger generation to contribute to a drug-free society, Dr Singh urged students to act as responsible sentinels against substance abuse and the illegal sale of intoxicants.
He said students were an important part of society and could play a constructive role in preventing drug-related activities. If they noticed anyone in their surroundings consuming prohibited substances or engaging in their illegal sale, they should immediately inform their parents, teachers or the administration rather than remaining silent.
The SDM also stressed the need to strengthen and empower the Prahari Club so that students could contribute more effectively to awareness and prevention efforts. He encouraged them to remain vigilant and understand that combating drug abuse requires collective responsibility from families, educational institutions, communities and the administration.
Dr Singh’s message focused on prevention through awareness and responsible reporting. He urged students to use their position within their families and communities to spread awareness about the harmful consequences of drug abuse and discourage their peers from becoming involved in substance use.
During the inspection of Government Model Sanskrit Senior Secondary School, Vyasapur, the SDM reviewed the institution’s academic and administrative activities. He interacted with students to learn about their studies, the facilities available at the school and other activities being undertaken for their overall development.
The officer inspected different parts of the school campus and gathered information about the facilities available to students. He also reviewed cleanliness arrangements and the functioning and availability of smart classrooms.
The inspection provided an opportunity to assess not only the physical infrastructure but also the measures being taken by the school for the benefit of students. Dr Singh sought information about the academic environment and other activities designed to support students’ educational development.
During his interaction with students at the school, the SDM encouraged them to maintain regular study habits, observe discipline and remain committed to their goals. He emphasised that students should use the educational opportunities available to them effectively and develop a focused approach towards their future.
The visits reflected an approach in which school inspections go beyond checking administrative records and physical facilities. Direct interaction with students allowed the SDM to understand their academic interests, aspirations and concerns while also giving them an opportunity to engage with a senior administrative officer.
The classroom discussions also placed emphasis on analytical thinking and confidence. By asking knowledge-based and reflective questions, Dr Singh encouraged students to participate actively rather than treating learning as a one-way process.
His interaction on career aspirations further highlighted the importance of early goal-setting. Students expressed interest in public service and medicine, while the SDM encouraged them to pursue their ambitions through sustained effort and disciplined preparation.
The drug-awareness message formed another important part of the school visits. By encouraging students to report suspected drug use or illegal sales to trusted adults or authorities, the administration sought to reinforce the role of young people in building safer communities.
The emphasis on the Prahari Club was also aimed at strengthening student participation in awareness activities. Students can play an important role in spreading information about the risks associated with substance abuse among their peers and families.
At both schools, Dr Singh encouraged students to focus on education, maintain discipline and work consistently towards their goals. He also reviewed the cleanliness and facilities available at the institutions and appreciated the efforts being made to maintain an orderly academic environment.
The surprise inspections therefore combined administrative review, classroom interaction, career guidance and social awareness. The SDM’s engagement with students provided a platform for discussing both their educational aspirations and their responsibilities towards society.
The students responded enthusiastically to the interaction and shared their ambitions with the visiting officer. The administration’s emphasis on education, discipline, career planning and drug prevention underlined the importance of developing young people not only as successful professionals but also as responsible citizens.
Dr Singh reiterated that consistent education, focused preparation and disciplined living could provide students with the foundation required to achieve their ambitions. He encouraged them to remain committed to their goals and make constructive use of every opportunity available to them.
