Chief Minister asks deputy commissioners to highlight 12 years of government work and ensure departments coordinate closely for effective delivery of welfare schemes

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini held a video conference with all deputy commissioners of the state to review preparations and activities under the Seva Sankalp Campaign, directing district administrations to work in close coordination so that the benefits of government schemes and welfare initiatives reach eligible beneficiaries without unnecessary difficulties.
The meeting focused on the proposed activities under the campaign and the need for district-level departments to ensure effective implementation and public participation. Several members of the state Cabinet joined the Chief Minister during the video conference, including Cabinet Minister Shyam Singh Rana; Development and Panchayats and Mines and Geology Minister Krishan Lal Panwar; School Education, Higher Education and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mahipal Dhanda; Revenue and Disaster Management, Urban Local Bodies and Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goyal; and Industries and Commerce and Environment, Forest and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh.
During the meeting, Saini outlined a broad programme of activities planned as part of the Seva Sankalp Campaign. These include Aashirwad Ka Diya, Namaste Seva Gatha, street plays, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Viksit Bharat 2047 Jyoti Yatra, Jan-Jal and Seva Sankalp Yatra, Seva Mera Yogdan and 25 different service-oriented activities.
The Chief Minister also said that a Seva Setu – Sarkar Aapke Dwar initiative would be undertaken to take government services closer to citizens. The emphasis, he indicated, would be on ensuring that people can access government schemes and services more conveniently and that eligible beneficiaries do not face avoidable hurdles in receiving assistance.
Saini directed deputy commissioners to identify and highlight the work undertaken by the government over the past 12 years as part of the campaign. He stressed that the achievements and initiatives of different departments should be presented in a coordinated manner so that citizens can understand the work carried out for public welfare and development.
The Chief Minister further emphasised the importance of coordination among government departments. He directed officials to work together rather than functioning in isolation, particularly in matters involving multiple departments or schemes. Such coordination, he said, would help ensure that beneficiaries receive the full benefit of government programmes.
The focus on inter-departmental coordination is particularly significant at the district level, where citizens often approach different offices for services and benefits linked to government schemes. Effective coordination among departments can help streamline processes and reduce difficulties for people seeking assistance.
Following the Chief Minister’s directions, Additional Deputy Commissioner Navin Kumar Ahuja instructed officials of all concerned departments to organise the Seva Sankalp Campaign with enthusiasm and ensure that the activities are conducted effectively.
Ahuja stressed that all departments should maintain close coordination and mutual cooperation while implementing the campaign. He said officials should ensure that eligible people seeking benefits under government schemes do not face any inconvenience or unnecessary procedural difficulties.
He also underlined the need for officials to approach the campaign with a public-service perspective. Since the initiative involves a range of activities and government programmes, effective communication and coordination between departments will be important for ensuring that information reaches the intended beneficiaries.
The district-level preparations are expected to involve various administrative, development, education, urban local body and community-oriented departments. Officials have been asked to work together so that the campaign remains focused on public participation and delivery of services.
The video conference brought together senior district officials and representatives from several departments. Additional Deputy Commissioner Navin Kumar Ahuja attended the meeting along with Jagadhri Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vishwanath, Radaur SDM Narendra Kumar, Chhachhrauli SDM Jaspal Singh Gill, City Magistrate Piyush Gupta, DSP Kawaljit Singh, District Revenue Officer Tarun Sahota, District Development and Panchayat Officer Narendra Singh, District Information and Public Relations Officer Dr Manoj Kumar, District Higher Education Officer Suman Bhatia, District Education Officer Prem Lata, My Bharat Yamunanagar Deputy Director Omkar Swami, MSME Joint Director VPS Ahluwalia and officials from other departments.
The participation of officers from different administrative and development departments reflected the multi-departmental nature of the campaign. From education and local administration to rural development, revenue and enterprise-related departments, officials are expected to contribute to the implementation of various activities planned under the initiative.
The Seva Sankalp Campaign is also intended to provide an opportunity for government departments to connect their programmes with citizens through outreach activities. Initiatives such as street plays, public campaigns, journeys and service-oriented programmes can help communicate information about government schemes beyond conventional office-based interactions.
The proposed Sarkar Aapke Dwar component is aimed at bringing government services closer to people and strengthening direct engagement between administration and citizens. Such outreach can be particularly useful for people who may not be fully aware of the schemes for which they are eligible.
Officials were also directed to ensure that the campaign is not treated merely as a series of ceremonial programmes. The emphasis on identifying government work, coordinating departments and ensuring access to benefits indicates a focus on connecting campaign activities with actual public service delivery.
The district administration has accordingly been asked to prepare for the activities with coordination and enthusiasm. Officials will have to work together to ensure that the campaign’s various components are implemented smoothly and that citizens receive accurate information about relevant government initiatives.
The Chief Minister’s directions placed public benefit and administrative coordination at the centre of the campaign. The district-level officials will now be responsible for translating these directions into effective outreach and service delivery, with the stated objective of ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes without unnecessary difficulty.
