‘War Against Drugs, Along with Yamunanagar Police’ programme to be held at Deodhar on September 7

After actively contributing to environmental protection through the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ plantation campaign, the Shivaji Press Club has now decided to expand its social initiatives by taking up the fight against drug abuse. The club will organise a special public awareness programme, ‘War Against Drugs, Along with Yamunanagar Police’, in collaboration with Yamunanagar Police.
The programme is scheduled to be held on September 7 at Gram Panchayat Deodhar. The initiative aims to spread awareness about the harmful consequences of drug addiction and encourage greater community participation in building a drug-free society.
The decision marks another significant step in the Shivaji Press Club’s social outreach activities. After organising a blood donation camp and conducting plantation drives in villages and schools, the organisation is now focusing on the challenge of drug abuse, particularly its impact on young people and society.
SP Kamaldeep Goyal Gives Approval for Awareness Programme
A delegation of the Shivaji Press Club met Yamunanagar Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal and Deputy Commissioner Preeti to discuss the proposed anti-drug awareness initiative.
During the meeting, SP Kamaldeep Goyal appreciated the club’s efforts and granted approval for organising the ‘War Against Drugs, Along with Yamunanagar Police’ programme at Deodhar Gram Panchayat on September 7.
The proposed campaign is expected to bring together police representatives, social workers, members of the local community and other stakeholders to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
The initiative seeks to strengthen the message that the fight against drugs requires collective participation. Organisers believe that families, schools, social organisations, local communities and law-enforcement agencies all have an important role to play in preventing young people from falling into addiction.

Shivaji Press Club president Ravinder Chauhan said that the organisation has remained committed to social responsibility since its registration.
He said that shortly after the club was registered on July 7, it organised a blood donation camp. The club subsequently launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and began plantation activities in villages and schools.
Under the campaign, saplings have been planted on vacant land in rural areas and educational institutions. The club has also focused on ensuring that responsibility for the care and protection of the planted saplings is taken seriously.
Ravinder Chauhan said that the organisation will now work towards expanding awareness against drug addiction across Yamunanagar district under the guidance of SP Kamaldeep Goyal.
The club believes that public awareness and community participation can play an important role in discouraging drug abuse and promoting a healthier lifestyle among young people.
Sushil Arya to Attend the Deodhar Programme
Advocate and social worker Sushil Arya will be specially present at the ‘War Against Drugs, Along with Yamunanagar Police’ programme.
