Students present patriotic songs and inspiring play, pay tribute to freedom fighters and martyrs

Savitri Memorial Public School celebrated Independence Day with enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and a strong message of national unity and responsibility. The celebration brought together students, teachers, parents and distinguished guests, creating an atmosphere filled with pride and respect for the nation and the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters.

The programme began with the unfurling of the national flag by chief guest and retired postmaster Suresh Sharma. Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, students, teachers, guests and parents stood together for the national anthem and respectfully saluted the Tricolour. The ceremony reflected the spirit of Independence Day and reminded the gathering of the sacrifices through which India achieved freedom.

The school campus resonated with patriotic enthusiasm as students participated in a series of cultural and educational presentations. The young students presented patriotic songs that reflected their love for the country and their respect for the national flag. Suresh Sharma urges students to honour sacrifices:

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Suresh Sharma congratulated the students, teachers and school management on Independence Day. He said the national festival provides an opportunity to remember the sacrifices and contributions of the freedom fighters who fought for India’s independence.

He urged students to learn from the lives of the country’s freedom fighters and martyrs and to develop a strong sense of responsibility towards the nation. He said that young people have an important role in shaping India’s future and should move forward with discipline, dedication, honesty and commitment.

Suresh Sharma encouraged the students to understand the value of freedom and to respect the national flag and the institutions of the country. He said that the sacrifices made by freedom fighters should continue to inspire future generations to work for the progress and unity of the nation.

He also appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation in the Independence Day programme. According to him, cultural activities and patriotic presentations at schools help children connect emotionally with the country’s history while also developing confidence and a sense of social responsibility.

Students honoured for outstanding performances:
