Multiple rounds fired at closed showroom in Rampura Colony; forensic team collects evidence as police examine CCTV footage and authenticity of threat note

Police have launched an intensive investigation after unidentified assailants allegedly opened fire at the closed showroom of a tyre trader in Yamunanagar’s Rampura Colony late Saturday night and fled after leaving behind a threatening note outside the premises. The incident came to light on Sunday morning when the showroom was opened for business. The matter was immediately reported to the police, following which senior officers, the local police team, and forensic experts rushed to the spot. According to preliminary information, the attackers targeted the showroom of tyre trader Ishan Sabharwal and allegedly fired multiple rounds at the property. A handwritten threat note bearing the name Kulbir Sidhu was also recovered from outside the showroom. Police have seized the note and sent it for forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation. Investigators carried out a detailed inspection of the crime scene and collected spent bullet casings and other forensic evidence. CCTV footage from nearby establishments is being examined to identify the suspects and trace their movements before and after the incident. Police officials said the firing appears to have taken place late at night, while the incident was discovered only after the showroom opened on Sunday morning. The process of recording the trader’s formal complaint is underway, following which an FIR will be registered under the relevant provisions of law. Investigators are also examining whether the threat note has any genuine connection to an organised criminal or terror-linked network, or whether it was left solely to create panic and intimidate the victim. Officials said every possible angle is being investigated, and no theory has been ruled out at this stage. The police said that the accused would be identified through scientific evidence, CCTV footage, and other technical inputs, adding that efforts are underway to apprehend those responsible at the earliest.The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet announced any arrests or established a confirmed motive behind the attack.
