Deputy Commissioner Preeti reviews development works and welfare schemes with senior district officials during a Good Governance meeting at the District Secretariat.

Deputy Commissioner Preeti held a detailed meeting with senior district officials at the District Secretariat to review various issues, development works and government schemes under the Good Governance framework. She directed officers to complete development projects within the stipulated time and discharge their responsibilities with seriousness, sensitivity and accountability.
Officials from different departments presented progress reports and briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the status of ongoing schemes and projects. The DC reviewed department-wise progress, pending matters and future action plans, stressing that development works should be completed on priority with due attention to quality.
She directed officials to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government welfare schemes without delay. Departments were also asked to work in coordination and resolve pending matters at the earliest. The Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to attend such meetings with complete information regarding projects and works under their respective departments.
Reviewing the health sector, Preeti directed officials to ensure timely preparation of Ayushman cards for citizens. She also stressed the need for awareness camps during the monsoon season to educate people about preventive measures against seasonal diseases and inform them about various health schemes. She directed officials to intensify de-addiction programmes and ensure proper care of people living with HIV.
The District Development and Panchayat Officer was asked to coordinate with Block Development and Panchayat Officers to ensure that government welfare schemes reach rural residents effectively.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the education sector and directed officials to improve school infrastructure. Regular testing of drinking water, proper seating arrangements and other basic facilities for students were emphasised.
Municipal Commissioner Mahavir Prasad, City Magistrate Piyush Gupta, CEO Zila Parishad Sushil Kumar, Dr Divya Mangla, CMMGA Abhishruti, DIPRO Dr Manoj Kumar, Public Health Executive Engineer Saurabh Alahawat, SDO Rohit Singh Sarogi, district Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other officials attended the meeting.
Voters Asked to Complete SIR Documentation and Submit Claims Through BLOs
Officials participate in the video conference reviewing claims, objections and the notice phase under the Special Revision of electoral rolls.
A video conference chaired by the Chief Electoral Officer was held on August 10, 2026, to review the process of disposal of claims and objections and the notice phase under the Special Revision of electoral rolls as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India. Deputy Commissioners and District Election Officers from all districts, along with Electoral Registration Officers of all Assembly constituencies, participated.
Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Preeti appealed to all eligible young citizens who attained the age of 18 years or above as on July 1, 2026, to submit Form 6 along with the required declaration to their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for inclusion of their names in the electoral rolls.
She also provided information regarding documentation for voters who could not establish a link with themselves or their relatives in the 2002 electoral rolls. The documents required may vary depending on the person’s date and place of birth and citizenship status. Citizens were advised to submit the relevant documents to their BLOs as prescribed under the Election Commission’s guidelines.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that eligible documents may include government-issued identity or pension documents, documents issued by government or local authorities, banks, post offices, LIC or PSUs, birth certificates, passports, recognised educational certificates, permanent residence certificates, forest rights certificates, caste certificates, family registers and other documents prescribed by the Election Commission.
She said citizens requiring further clarification regarding the SIR process can contact the concerned election office for assistance.
Jagadhri SDM Vishwanath, Vyasapur SDM Dr Kuldeep Singh, Radaur SDM Narendra Kumar, CTM Piyush Gupta, Election Naib Tehsildar Prashant Kumar, DIPRO Dr Manoj Kumar and other officials participated in the proceedings.
