With the Kanwar pilgrimage witnessing a large movement of devotees, Sanatani Warriors, under the leadership of Varun Sharma, organised a medical camp and refreshment facility for Kanwariyas at Dusani village on the Ambala-Saharanpur National Highway in Yamunanagar.

The initiative was aimed at providing immediate medical assistance and refreshments to Kanwariyas undertaking the arduous pilgrimage. Volunteers remained available at the camp to attend to devotees requiring basic healthcare support during their journey.

Dr Ravish Chauhan, who was associated with the medical arrangements, said first-aid and commonly required medicines were made available for Kanwariyas. Medicines including Betadine, paracetamol, neomycin and other pain-relief medicines were provided as required.

Special attention was given to Kanwariyas travelling barefoot. Volunteers cleaned and dressed blisters and minor foot injuries using appropriate antiseptic solutions and bandages, enabling the pilgrims to continue their journey with greater comfort.

The organisers also made arrangements for refreshments and food, keeping in mind the different dietary requirements of the pilgrims. Along with regular food, special items were provided for Kanwariyas observing fasts. These included bananas, fruit cream, sweet petha, jaljeera, Rooh Afza and sweetened water.

The organisers said the objective was not only to provide food and medical assistance but also to ensure that pilgrims received a supportive and welcoming environment while passing through the area.

Several prominent citizens and Municipal Corporation councillors from Yamunanagar-Jagadhri visited the camp to encourage the volunteers and support the initiative. They appreciated Varun Sharma and members of Sanatani Warriors for arranging medical assistance and refreshments for the Kanwariyas.

The visitors said such service initiatives reflect the spirit of community participation and provide valuable support to pilgrims during the Kanwar Yatra.

The organisers emphasised that serving Kanwariyas during the pilgrimage is an important form of social and religious service. Volunteers remained engaged in assisting devotees, providing basic medical care and ensuring refreshments were available.

Among those who contributed to the initiative were former Yamunanagar Mahila Morcha chief Pramila Bakshi, Kuldeep Duggal, Anish Goyal, Kanwar Pal Pandit, Om Narayan, Shubham Sharma, Shalu Chauhan, Arun Sharma, Suresh Vyas, Mamta Arora, Shubham Dhiman, Suman, Rishabh and Prachi, along with other members and supporters.

The organisers expressed gratitude to all citizens, medical personnel, volunteers and public representatives who extended their cooperation and encouragement to the camp.

The initiative provided a combination of medical assistance, refreshments and community support, helping Kanwariyas continue their spiritual journey with greater comfort and confidence.
