Weekly grievance redressal camps to be held every Monday and Thursday as Haryana strengthens citizen-centric governance

The Haryana Government has intensified its citizen grievance redressal mechanism by expanding the frequency of its Samadhan Shivir (Solution Camp) initiative, with City Magistrate (CTM) Piyush Gupta directing officials to ensure the prompt and time-bound resolution of every complaint received from the public.
Chairing the district-level Samadhan Shivir at the District Secretariat on Wednesday, Gupta instructed departmental officers to make every possible effort to resolve grievances on the spot. In cases where complaints require document verification or departmental inquiry, he said officials must ensure that they are disposed of within the prescribed timeframe without unnecessary delay.
“The objective of these camps is to provide citizens with a transparent, efficient and responsive administrative system. Every complaint deserves serious attention and timely action,” Gupta said.
He informed officials that, under revised directions issued by the Haryana Government, Samadhan Shivirs will now be organised twice a week—every Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Earlier, the camps were held once a week. The revised schedule will continue at both district and sub-divisional levels to improve accessibility and expedite grievance redressal.
During Wednesday’s camp, three complaints were received from residents belonging to different parts of the district.
Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Camp Colony, sought the removal of encroachments from the Camp Colony Main Bazaar, alleging that illegal occupation was causing inconvenience to residents and shoppers.
Another complainant, Jameel Ahmed from Akalgarh, requested correction of his details in the old-age pension records and sought assistance in updating his bank account information to ensure uninterrupted pension benefits.
The third grievance was submitted by Ramesho Devi, a resident of Mahmoodpur village under Vyaspur Block, who alleged illegal encroachment on Panchayati land and requested immediate administrative intervention to remove the occupation.
Officials from the concerned departments were directed to examine each complaint and initiate necessary action in accordance with government rules.
Special members of the Samadhan Shivir, including Khareti Lal Batra, Neeraj Gupta and Jagdish Babbar, along with officers from various government departments, were present during the proceedings.
The Haryana Government has positioned the Samadhan Shivir initiative as a key governance reform aimed at bringing government services closer to citizens while ensuring faster and more transparent resolution of public grievances.
