31st Blood Donation Camp at Mukand Lal School draws strong participation as 114 units are collected in Yamunanagar

The 31st annual blood donation camp at Mukand Lal National Senior Secondary School in Yamunanagar was organised with a strong spirit of service and community participation, with 114 units of blood collected during the event. Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Ahuja was the chief guest, while the programme was presided over by Naresh Uppal.
ADC Naveen Ahuja Donates Blood
A key highlight of the camp was the participation of Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Ahuja, who donated blood himself and encouraged voluntary participation in the noble cause. His presence, along with his interaction with blood donors, school members and student organisers, helped boost the morale of those associated with the camp.
The camp was organised as an annual tribute to the memory of Seth Mukand Lal and Lala Sushil Chandra. The organisers said the initiative continues to bring together members of the school community and well-wishers around the message of voluntary blood donation and service to society.
Tribute Begins with Lamp Lighting
The programme began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp before the statues of Seth Mukand Lal and Shri Sushil Chandra. The occasion was marked by remembrance and a message of social responsibility. Speakers highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and urged people to view the act as a direct contribution towards helping patients who may need blood during medical treatment and emergencies.
The organisers said the participation of donors, school members and students reflected the spirit behind the annual initiative. Addressing those present, they emphasised that voluntary blood donation is among the highest forms of giving because it can help protect another person’s life without expecting anything in return.
Community Members Join the Camp
Vikas Gupta, Ruby Gupta, Aarushi Chandra, Deepak Chauhan and Kamalpreet were also present at the programme. Their participation added to the sense of collective involvement and support for the blood donation initiative.

Narula also rejected the misconception that donating blood necessarily causes weakness. He expressed gratitude to everyone whose effort and dedication helped the annual camp conclude successfully.
Doctors and Guests Attend
Dr Ramesh, R.K. Garg and Dr Harsh were present on the occasion. Their presence supported the medical and organisational aspects of the camp and added to the overall participation in the programme.
The successful blood donation camp concluded with a community meal. Organisers said the response demonstrated the continued importance of voluntary blood donation and the value of involving students, families, staff and members of the wider community in humanitarian initiatives.
